Eddie's Hide-A-Way
"Eddie's Hideout" was founded in 1979 by Eddie Hetz, a chef and owner. Eddie was born in 1940 in New York, he immigrated to Jerusalem in the early 1970s, where he met Batya and together they opened a hamburger restaurant. The Red Sea fascinated them and they decided to go south to Eilat. They bought the restaurant and the goal was to make people enjoy food, so they found a small place in a not-so-nice neighborhood and their belief was that the food will make the place and not the other way around. In the restaurant you will find classic dishes alongside updates inspired by Eddie, after 40 years of work and a new place, we are proud that Eddie has succeeded!
