In the heart of the picturesque Mishkenot Sha'ananim neighborhood of Jerusalem is the kosher Toro Mediterranean chef restaurant. The popular and exclusive restaurant overlooks the breathtaking view of Jerusalem, culminating in the exciting view of the Old City walls and the Tower of David. Toro is located right at the foot of the historic flour mill and next to the Mishkenot Sha'ananim guest house, where artists and intellectuals usually live. The restaurant is named after the Jewish-American philanthropist Yehuda Toro, who donated his money and collaborated with Moshe Montefiore in the establishment of Mishkenot Sha'ananim. The building where Toro is located is a conservation building where the capital's new press club operates.
